A TRIP THROUGH COMENIUS
by Fernando Javier Cabello Nodal / Project Coordinator
September 2010. We begin our first comenius project in Lithuania. An exciting trip with meetings, preparations, visits, pedagogical exchange... Stakliskes was the host city, but we also visited Vilna (the capital), Birstonas and more. After the trip we came back with a lot of material which we use to create the theatre "The Bull's House" (right side video). For the records: after every trip we made the vÃdeo "country through my teacher's eyes", where we show the trip to all our students. The left side video is "Lithuania through my teacher's eyes".
December 2010. Second comenius trip in Budapest (Hungary). We continue with our educational exchange and meetings. Five days where we show our materials worked with our students and where we will learn a new fairytale. The left side video is the movie "Matthias the Blacksmith" and the right side video is "Hungary through my teacher's eyes".
In March of 2011 we flew to Krakow (Poland). A lot of experiences and loads of work to do, learn and experiences to share. There, we visited Wadowice, St. John Paul II 's hometown, his home, Auschwitz and more.
Here we can also watch the "Lipdub"(right side video), a creation made by the whole school. It was developed specially for the project. The left side video is "Poland through my teacher's eyes". Below them we can watch the Polish fairy tale and the comenius week celebrated in our school.
3E: EUROPE, ENGLISH, ENVIRONMENT
There was another interesting place where we went, heart of transylvania, Cluj Napoca. Here begun the legend about the Vampire and the Bram Stoker's novel Dracula. The truth is that the real Dracula was "Vlad Tepes", who is revered as a folk hero in Romania as well as other parts of Europe for his protection of the Romanian population.
The left side video is "Romania through my teacher's eyes" and the right side one is the Romanian fairy tale and the its day at school.
Bridging Asia and Europe both literally and figuratively, Turkey is the most oriental of the western nations and the most occidental of eastern nations. There our fifth trip took place. Going from Istanbul, to Trabzon and from Izmir to Erzurum we travel Turkey from west to east, just 300km away from the border of Iran.
The video set at the left side is "Turkey through my teacher's eyes". The one at the right side "Turkish day at school and its fairy tale drama presentation.
